Dante, The Divine Comedy, and the Enneagram: From Fixation to Freedom in Florence
Walk in Dante’s historic footsteps through the heart of ancient Florence with Enneagram map in hand!
Over this four-day course, we will discover enlightening parallels between Dante’s epic poem about spiritual transformation and the Enneagram path of development from unconscious habit to higher potential.
In the three books of The Divine Comedy, Dante vividly presents three states of mind that match the timeless wisdom behind the Enneagram: In Inferno he depicts the unconscious (and limiting) fixation in an identification with the personality (or “lower self”), in Purgatory he highlights the work we must do to elevate ourselves above our human condition, and in Paradise, he teaches us about our spiritual nature and what it takes to transcend our egoic state and manifest our highest gifts.
This relaxing and educational course includes guided tours through Dante’s Florence, time for soaking in the art and atmosphere of this beautiful Italian city, and educational and inspiring group sessions where we travel through the three realms of Dante’s Comedy –and it’s connections with the Enneagram–to be inspired to work toward our own liberation by his poetic masterpiece.
Enjoy the atmosphere, the food, and the fun of being in Florence with a great group of conscious students of the Enneagram and one of the greatest works of literature of all time!
