Dante’s Divine Comedy and the Enneagram: From Fixation to Freedom in Florence
Casa del Santo Nome di Gesù, Piazza del Carmine, 21 50124 – Firenze – Italy
Lectures on Dante and The Enneagram, interwoven with music, art, and dialogue
Visits to historic places of significance to Dante led by experienced and knowledgeable local guides
Elements of personal and group inquiry, meditation, and movement
Join us as we explore the spiritual journey as illustrated through the Enneagram map and Dante’s timeless literary masterpiece, “The Divine Comedy” in Florence, Italy, Dante’s birthplace.
Over four days in the center of historic Florence we will investigate the connections between the Enneagram of personality and transformative process and Dante’s Divine Comedy, focusing on what they can both teach us about the path from unconscious sleep to awakening, from being trapped in “slavery” to our own egos to psychological and spiritual liberation.
We will seek to understand Dante himself, his remarkable poem, its transcendent messages, and it’s parallels with the Enneagram through lecture, group discussion, and experiential inquiry. There will be a guided tour of Florence, the city at the center of Dante’s life and the action of The Comedy, and a visit to Casa di Dante – a small museum on the former site of Dante’s house in Florence.
We hope you will consider joining us for this annual tour through hell, purgatory, and paradise! Now in our 5th year!
